We've divided the curriculum into four distinct levels, each carefully aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ensuring a structured and comprehensive learning experience:
Levels 1 & 2 (Beginner - CEFR A1): These levels lay a rock-solid foundation in Spanish, introducing your child to everyday vocabulary, essential greetings, numbers, colors, and much more. We believe learning should be fun, so we use interactive games, catchy songs, and hands-on activities to keep your child excited and engaged every step of the way.
Levels 3 & 4 (Elementary - CEFR A2): As your child's confidence grows, we'll dive deeper into the language, exploring more complex grammar structures, engaging in conversations about everyday topics, and immersing them in the rich tapestry of Hispanic culture. Each level of ¡Hola Mundo! is designed to last approximately 10 months, mirroring the school year in New York and Los Angeles. 3. What are the ¡Hola Mundo! classes like?
Our classes are live, online, and interactive. We use games, songs, stories, and fun activities to make learning engaging and effective. Plus, our teachers are native Spanish speakers with experience teaching children. At ¡Hola Mundo!, we believe in Positive Education, which means we focus on enhancing learning through positive rewards, celebrating successes, and never reprimanding what isn't yet learned. We ensure your child learns Spanish from a place of trust and encouragement.
4. How long does each level last?
Each level is approximately 10 months long, aligning with the typical US school year.
5. How many classes are there per week?
The number of classes per week depends on the enrollment option you choose:
Pay-Per-Class: You have the flexibility to schedule classes at your own pace, based on your child's availability and learning style. You can choose to have one, two, or three classes per week.
Monthly or Annual Membership: These options include two live online classes per week, led by our experienced native Spanish-speaking teachers. Additionally, you'll have access to one pre-recorded class each week focused on vocabulary and pronunciation practice, which you can complete at your convenience.
This flexible approach allows you to tailor your child's learning experience to their individual needs and your family's schedule. Whether you prefer a more structured schedule with two live classes per week or a more flexible approach with pay-per-class options, ¡Hola Mundo! has the perfect solution for your family.
6. What materials are included in the course?
All course materials are included in the price of the program and will be provided to you in PDF format for easy printing at home. We recommend printing the materials before each class so your child can actively participate in the activities and exercises. This includes vocabulary flashcards, worksheets, activity sheets, audios, videos in Spanish, and any other resources needed for the lesson.
7. How can I track my child's progress?
You'll receive regular progress reports, and you can communicate directly with the teacher to discuss your child's development.
8. What if my child needs to switch levels during the course?
No problem! If we notice your child has more prior knowledge or is progressing quickly, we'll move them to the appropriate level at no extra cost. We'll adjust the pricing accordingly to reflect the new level.
9. Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Yes, we offer a 4-Class Satisfaction Guarantee. We want your child to be completely happy with their learning experience at ¡Hola Mundo!. If, after the first four classes, you feel that the program isn't the right fit for your child, simply let us know within 30 days of enrollment, and we'll gladly refund the remaining tuition for unused classes.
10. Can I reschedule classes if my child can't attend? What about if we're traveling?
Yes, you can absolutely reschedule classes with at least 24 hours' notice. We understand that life happens, and schedules can change unexpectedly. Simply let us know in advance, and we'll work with you to find a new time that fits your schedule. If you're planning a trip, just give us a heads-up, and we can adjust your child's schedule accordingly. We want to ensure your child doesn't miss out on their Spanish learning journey, even while on the go!
Please note: If a class is missed without 24 hours' notice, it will be considered a forfeited session and will not be refunded or rescheduled, as our teachers reserve that time specifically for your child. However, we're committed to finding solutions that work for your family, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or questions.
